WHAT TO KNOW

Engine oil lubricates moving parts and helps manage heat and contamination. An oil change replaces used oil and the filter with products suited to the engine. Oil grade, capacity and service interval should follow the vehicle manufacturer.

Planning your service

Follow the oil-life monitor or owner’s manual. A red oil-pressure warning is not an oil-change reminder: stop safely, shut off the engine and arrange assistance.
